Special Needs in Strange Worlds: The Ship Who Sang by Anne McCaffrey

My Rating: 4.5 / 5.0

For my first ever Guest Review you can find me over at Bookworm Blues, where Sarah has been hosting a month-long event with the title Special Needs in Strange Worlds. The event looks at the portrayal of disabled people of all types in the Speculative Fiction genre and has produced some very thought provoking posts from the other guests. Sarah was originally inspired to run the event because of this post by Elspeth Cooper and it is a subject dear to her heart because she has had major disability and illness to overcome, as she explains here.

If you have not been to Bookworm Blues before, then I highly recommend it. Sarah has a very entertaining voice and produces interesting and enlightening posts. I always look forward to her posts appearing on my RSS feed grabber because I know that they will be thoughtful and thought-provoking. You can also follow her on Twitter and Goodreads.
