This week I am only listing one new book because I have been very self-controlled and not applied for any giveaways in the last week or so. Giveaways are a way for authors to create some buzz for the books and so they ask for reviews in return for the free books. I already have a pile of them sitting on my coffee table, or my Kindle, and I really do need to read and review them. The guilt is starting to get to me, so I have decided to restrain my urge to gather up as many free books as I can possibly get. It is times like this that I am glad that I am only a small blogger and do not get ARCs thrown at me: I could never live with the guilt of not reading them all!
Who would ever think that free books could be a bad thing!? :D
The description is from Goodreads.
Fire: Elements of the Undead by William Esmont (LibraryThing Member Giveaway)
Elements of the Undead #1
It begins with the end...
When Megan Pritchard clocks in for her late night shift in a Nevada brothel, she has no way of knowing it will be her last. Around the world, the dead are rising, and mankind is on the express train to extinction. As her coworkers turn into cannibalistic zombies, Megan is forced to flee into the desert with nothing but the clothes on her back and a vague plan to reach her sister in southern Arizona.
Facing impossible odds, Megan embarks on a journey of self discovery, only to learn she may be the last, best hope for humanity.
