This is a fair representation of me this week! :D
On Wednesday 9th January, I was offered
a part-time post at the library where I have been a volunteer for over two
years, so on Monday I started my training to be an assistant librarian in the
adult circulation department. Since then it has been a whirlwind of Dewey
decimals, dusty parts of the library, staff orientation and computer systems .
. . oh, and some books! This has left me precious little time for blogging or
reading because I have been so exhausted, so I have been a little quiet for the
past couple of weeks. Now that I have long weekend, thanks to the Martin Luther
King holiday and have started to recover from the shock to my system, I should
be able to get back on track with posts and reviews.
I do not think that my employment will impact on my
blogging too much, but I will also be helping to organize the Not Your Ordinary Book
Group that inspired me to begin this blog in the first place. This means
that I will also be publishing some posts over there and I may link to them
from time to time.
Congrats on the new gig!
ReplyDeleteWow, you work in a library! As a book lover, I'm quite envious!
