Feature & Follow #10

I am trying to increase my readership and gain new followers, so I have signed up for this meme, hosted by Parajunkee’s View and Alison Can Read. Visit either of their posts to see who else is taking part.

I would especially appreciate 'likes' for my Facebook Page.

Activity: Happy Mardi Gras! If they were throwing the HOTTEST books off of a Mardi Gras float — what would you do to have them throw to you…?

I am English, which means that I am genetically programmed to NOT make a scene of any type for any reason at any time, so I am actually incapable of doing more than offering up a polite smile and small wave, whilst being trampled to death by everyone else . . . and then apologizing to them for getting in the way! :D

    2. Unfortunately, we are raised to be very passive in our social interactions, which is why we begin so many sentences with "I'm sorry to bother you, but . . ." :D

  3. You didn't say what you wanted them to throw to you!

    Yay for polite English people.

  11. I visited New Orleans during Mardi Gras season a couple of years ago and I came home without a single string of beads . . . it was an interesting experience. My American experience is of a culture that is very polite and shy of showing its sexuality and partying in public . . . apart from in NO where anything goes! :D

  12. Fantastic answer, I'm British too and so I can completely sympathise with being unable to make a scene.

I'm your new follower and I look forward to reading you, and thank you for popping by my blog!

  14. Politeness won't get you that far though. Mum always says to me I've got to be in it to win it even if that means the worst things; got to be upfront and centre. Hehe!

Thanks for following. Following back via GFC.

  15. LOL! I'm always so drawn to the English (youtubers (Charlie + Alex Day), Russell Brand, and Vex on Lost Girl) because they seem to have this attitude like eff the world, this is the right way to live.
